TAR – IN THE HEART OF HELSINKI, ON A HIDDEN ISLAND

TAR was born from the friendship of three people, connected by years of trust and a shared passion for great flavors, thoughtful spaces, and genuine hospitality. The restaurant was founded by Tõnis Siigur and Martti Siimann, the team behind Siigur Restaurants iin Estonia, together with Finnish actor and entrepreneur Jasper Pääkkönen.

Their friendship and collaboration have grown over time, driven by a shared desire to create something truly special, both in content and form. A place where people feel welcome and every detail tells a story. The historic building on Tervasaari, with its view over the sea and the city, felt like the perfect setting.

And so TAR was born – a restaurant where heritage and modern thinking come together. A warm and unique meeting place for sharing flavors, moments, and inspiring stories.
